1. The Hine Project: Stanton-Eastbanc (SEB) provided a supplemental submission today in response to questions posed by Zoning Commission members at the October 15th hearing. The file is too big to attach but it can be downloaded at
The key topics dealt with include SEB proposed options for loading/unloading 55 foot trucks at the planned loading dock off 7th Street SE and a set of revisions to the proffers from SEB. Since the document only came in late this afternoon, we have not had a chance to review it in detail yet but are including a copy for your information. Parties will have until next wednesday, Nov. 7 at 3 pm to submit written responses to the Zoning Commission. If anyone has any questions or comments on the document, please contact Barbara Riehle ( barbara ). The EMMCA response will be attached to next week’s Update.
2. EMMCA Meet & Greet Tomorrow: Last reminder. The EMMCA Meet & Greet with ANC Candidates will take place tomorrow evening,Thursday, from 7 pm to 8:30 pm in the downstairs meeting room of the Southeast Library adjacent to Metro Plaza. All candidates standing for ANC6B in next tuesday’s election have been invited. ANC candidates will be available to talk to interested voters, answer their questions and exchange views. Hard copies of the EMMCA voter guide with statements from the individual candiates will be available and can also be found on line at http://emmcablog.org/
3. Tuesday Nov. 6th Election As we all know, next week is the general election. Please come out and vote. the last date for casting your ballot at early voting stations is Saturday Nov. 3. If you haven’t registered to vote, you can still do so at an early voting station or on election day at your regular polling station. You need to bring proof of residence (acceptable documents to prove residence include a valid dc drivers license, current utility bill or lease,government check, government document with your name and current address on it).
